The successes of the previous five seminars have prompted us to organize a sixth edition of the Disease Education Forum, taking place September 14-15, 2026. The venue will be the same, the IFSI Auditorium of Hôpital Foch in Suresnes, close to Paris.

The DEF seminar is a unique opportunity to interact with internationally renowned colleagues who will share with us their knowledge about a particular neuroscientific topic, essential to interventional neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons and neurologists. During two consecutive days, focused lectures will deal with a dedicated neuroscientific theme that will be analyzed from different angles. This format is unique and can only be found at the DEF seminar.

The topic of the next DEF is :

“The 4th dimension : Brain and Vascular Malformations”

The diseases we face during our daily activities are not “angiographic snapshots”. They evolve over time within the brain that itself ongoingly remodels. This interaction makes the “concept of the host” between for example an arteriovenous malformation and the brain unique. Vascular malformations are not the same at each age, although they may look similar on radiological images. The same vascular disease in the pediatric age and in the elderly population will thus have different effects on the brain and will require different therapeutic strategies.

We have invited distinguished international experts, specialists in their respective domains, to share with us their knowledge and thus improve our understanding of the interactions between vascular lesions and the brain, in relation to development, immunology, genetics and treatments.

The format of the DEF is lectures with ample time for discussions and questions. These two intense working days will certainly improve our understanding of vascular diseases in relation to age and time, a rarely addressed topic.
